Hi there. I’m the developer of ShotRunner and was very curious about a couple of things in your post. It is true that we are under heavy development. It is also true that we are in active production on two films, one called 05-25-77, the other is an animated feature that I can’t talk about. There are a couple of tutorials posted on the website so you can at least get a look at the early (albeit somewhat ugly) user interface.

When we go commercial, we will allow management of multiple projects. I’m curious as to what you would like to see shared/managed across projects?

We intend to be a hosted (software as a service) application. We have a remote API into the system that lets a properly authenticated connection query, add, and update most of the data in the system via XML over HTTP. We are also working on a remote API for our workflow system. Would that provide the necessary integration into production pipelines that you seek?

I’d be very interested in seeing the rest of your requirements. I would really like to make ShotRunner a low cost online offering that the VFX industry will really find useful.

For what itâ€™s worth, yes Showrunner can manage only one show per copy of showrunner. But thatâ€™s no big deal as you just use multiple Showrunner databases, one for each show, all running on Filemaker Server. Works great for us.
Also, though many of your criticisms of the systems out there are valid, Showrunner does at least address inter-studio collaboration, editorial, and communications.
And, though Iâ€™d agree with you about lackluster interfaces, including Showrunnerâ€™s, Iâ€™ve got users who have specifically complimented it. Go figure.â€”TL

Bei mir wollen die Stöpsel zwar auch nich drin bleiben, aber ich empfehle zum Laufen unbedingt das Green Day Album (American Idiot, für alle, die’s nich wissen ;])
Da ich selbst mit der Musik immer laufe kann ich sagen: Du willst gar nich mehr aufhören zu rennen, wenn du das hörst!

Das mit den Londoner Bloggern ist ein cooles Beispiel. Wobei reine News doch eigentlich einfacher über Texte rüberzubringen sind … alle Podcast die ich bisher cool fand haben sich dadurch ausgezeichnet das sie in irgendeiner Form mitten im Geschehen aufgenommen wurden… (Bei praegnanz.de gab’s mal ‘nen coolen vom Buschbesuch … oder war’s Fasching?)
Die Kommerziellen und musikalisch anspruchsvollen scheinen ja auch langsam zu kommen … Olaf hat da ja schon einen scheinbar netten ausgegraben.
Aber die “normale” Podcast, in denen mehr oder weniger einfach ein Blogbeitrag vorgelesen wird, ... ;-(

Stimmt schon was du sagst, den Podcasts mangelt es an Informationsdichte und meiner Meinung nach an gutem Musikprogramm, aber das wird kommen. Mit der Zeit wird es auch richtige gute Podcasts geben. Ich denke da z.B. an einen Podcast mit Inhalt wie Mac-TV mit kommerziellem Alternative oder sowas.
Inzwischen erfährt man, gerade aktuell, von 3 verschiedenen Londoner Bloggern schneller News und auch mehr Informationen als über Newsseiten. Auch da werden Podcasts ihre Anwendung finden.

Ich hab auch festgestellt, dass ich Podcasts selber nicht unbedingt hören mag, dagegen aber schon lange gerne einen produzieren würde, hehe :)
Bis jetzt blieb das Internet davon verschont, aber wer weiss :D

Schöner Testbericht, echt nice! Er bestärkt mich in meiner Behauptung noch ein Weilchen zu warten bis die Sache ausgereifter ist. Hier übrigens eine Karte die die dbv-t Abdeckung in Deutschland zeigt.

Bei Wikipedia gibt es übrigens eine Bastelanleitung für eine Schmetterlingsantenne.

Ich steck mir bestimmt keine häßliche Antenne auf mein Vaio, soweit kommt es noch ;-)

Du hast recht! Ich habe noch einmal auf hr-online nachgeschaut. Man braucht eine Aussenantenne. Keine Ahnung wie ich darauf gekommen bin das man in einer Stadt mit der GrÃ¶ÃŸe Darmstadts vollen Empfang haben sollte ;-) â€“ Danke fÃ¼r den Hinweis!
